| Search of inmigrants and passengers in the CEMLA database
The CEMLA Data Base contains information of passenger and immigrant
arrival at the port of Buenos Aires between 1882 and 1930.
Available information* contains: Family name, first name, country of
birth, marital status, age at arrival, profession, religion, port of
shipment, ship’s name, date of arrival (sometimes also members of family
travelling together) Town or province of origin are registered only and
partially as from 1923. With some exceptions in 1910, we have no
information on town or province of birth for immigrants arrived until 1922.
If you require information regarding arrival of someone at the port of
Buenos Aires, please do as follows:
1) Send an email to base@cemla.com asking
whether the requested last names are found in our data base.
2) You will receive an email reply. Only if the requested last names are
contained, please pay 17€ to the following account:

CEMLA is not in position to obtain or deliver birth, marriage or death
certificates nor has access to dates of birth or any document of
immigrants entering Argentina, other than the information contained in
shipping lists.

conservation of some lists has made it impossible to recover the
information contained in them.
